I
have had 2 commercial building and Interior design businesses over
the last 25 years Aztec Interiors and Blueprint Interior Services in
the UK, I made and lost a million pounds and then came back again,
none of it would have been possible without Irene my wife of a
million years that was crazy enough to marry me on her 18th
birthday. These days we own and run ‘The Hideaway’ a couples only
retreat and a place to stay or get married and party or make your
dream come true. Tales from ‘The Hideaway’ could fill a book, half
of that would be Irene and I building this Phoenix out of the ashes
of a derelict house on 3 acres of tropical rain forest. Snakes, 5ft
'guanas, wild turkeys, incumbent kookaburras, owls, Fox bats and
“Hissing Sid” a 9ft python that lives in the rafters of my garage
and shits on my car, but I love him; he ensures 'we don't get no
vermin!'
I
like to draw famous faces mostly rock and film stars. I also created
the cover for MinX with Karen Tawater a Texan ( The Lone Star
Shelia). Also I write erotica & crime stories, often the two get
intertwined. Just ask Jake Horton my collaborator on ‘MinX’. That
epic opus took 3 years to write and he certainly suffered from my
cockney sarcasm and bluntness and I suffered from his delusions of
grandeur. In all honesty it’s a good job he resides in USA and I in
Australia for surely one of us would of killed the other by now and
the wonderful tale we created “MinX” would have been buried forever
too.
To
call our relationship tempestuous would be as subtle as a hurricane.
But somehow we survived and live to tell the tale, a very special
rocknrolla of a tale and you can read it all at Club Lighthouse.
I
have been published on various websites and in UK magazines, some of
which have illustrations by yours truly.
None
of the above could ever have been created without the one very
precious thing I have that I will never own, Irene “The Gladiatrix”.
Read that story next and then you will know her too! Me I am just a
legend in my own mind, and Jake Horton’s of course!
